Trails of India
Bajaj, one of the leading Indian brands when it comes to motorcycles, has never ceased to amaze us with their bikes neither have they ever disappointed us with their new bikes which they introduce every year. All this has helped to pave the way for Bajaj to build a strong customer base here in the Indian market and introducing the new Bajaj Pulsar RS400 has only helped them to strengthen their customer base by providing a beast out there in the market.
The Bajaj Pulsar RS400 is a fully faired flagship model of Bajaj but once it is completely ready and finished design-wise, it is sure to be tagged as a beast, as said earlier since the whole structure and model of the bike looks quite aggressive. This also happens to be the USP of the bike- the panels and the cuts on the bike. The 15 litres capacity fuel tank looks quite big and makes this bike perfect for sports and races. The front of the bike is twin projector headlamps powered with LED DRLs and the rear of the bike has a unique designer tail with LED tail light. The sides of the bike are packed with fairings and has also consisted of features of a race exhaust. The whole design and the body of the bike have been made in such a way to make it look as muscular as possible with the perimeter frame. The bike is even said to have ABS as standard and to top them all, the bike is also said to have Nitrox mono shock suspension at the rear of the bike making the riding experience a lot better and smoother.
The Bajaj Pulsar RS400 features a liquid cooled, triple spark 373.2cc engine with the fuel injection system. This enables the bike to produce around 42PS power at 9000rpm and 34.5Nm torque at 7000rpm. The engine is also said to have a six-speed gearbox and is also expected to reach a top speed of about 165kmph. The mileage of the bike falls between 22kmpl to 25kmpl, depending on the terrain and the usage of the rider.
Bajaj has been very considerate in the case of Pulsar RS400 when it comes to the colour choices. The bike will be available in three vibrant colours- yellow, red and blue, giving the bike a bold and muscular look, when coupled up with its design. Although, there will be two variants which will be made available in the market- the Pulsar RS400 (the normal one) and Pulsar RS400 with ABS.
Bajaj has developed a new engine for this specific cruiser that gives a displacement of about 375cc. The telescopic forks will be fitted in the front while the rear has Nitrox mono shock suspension, as it was stated earlier. The brakes in the front and at the rear are both drilled single disc brakes. The handlebar is a flat set which will be equipped in the front. It is also being said that Bajaj has been using a lot of alloys to make a lot of parts on the cruiser to cut down the weight of the bike, as a whole. The well-laid cockpit of the bike will have a lot of instruments which will provide the rider with all the comfort and stability while riding the bike.
The Bajaj Pulsar RS400 is making quite the headlines because of its features and most importantly, for its price. The features which are being offered in exchange for the cost is a good deal for anyone who knows about bikes or is just an enthusiast. The price of the bike still has not been fixed yet and is said to be in the range of Rs. 1.70lacs to Rs. 2lacs, depending on the variant of the bike you would like to purchase. The bike is said to be launched late in this year of 2018, most likely in the month of December.
With its strong customer base and goodwill in the market, the Bajaj Pulsar RS400 is surely to perform pretty well in the Indian market. We wish them all the very best and hope that it performs as well in the market as it performs on the street. Till then be safe and ride safely!
