Rajaji National Park
Rajaji Park is located at the edge of the Doon valley. The park is essentially a protected forest that covers an area approximately 820sqkms. The most popular resident of this park is the Asia Elephant and this park is as well home to the wild boar, cheetal, Tiger, Panther, sambhar, himalayan bear, kakar, python and different types of lizards and birds. Established on August 1983, Rajaji National Park was created by the union of three wild life sanctuaries viz. Rajaji, Chilla and Motichur. King Cobra is an extremely special inhabitant of Rajaji National Park and over 300 species of birds are as well found in the park. Elephant rides are conducted between morning and evening.
