Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary
Kedarnath sanctuary was established in the year 1972, and is situated in Garwal Himalayas. Kedarnath temple located in the forest reserve is visited by a large number of pilgrims. The prime attractions of the Kedarnath sanctuary are Snow Cock, Snow Leopard, Tahr, Musk Deer and Serow. The vegetation in the dense forest consists of rhododendrons, Chir pine, oak, birch, in addition with numerous species of Himalayan flowering plants.The best season to visit this Sanctuary is from April to June and again from September to November.
