Badrinath Dham
badrinath-dhamBadrinath, the seat of the god Vishnu in his aspect of Badrinarayan, is the most famous of the 4 sites in India's Char Dham pilgrimage. Placed at the hills of Himalaya, at the height of 10,248ft above sea point. The itinerary to Badrinath is one of the hardest one due to the lofty hilly terrain, bends and cliffs amidst the most scenically good-looking place on the earth.

Badrinath Temples:
The temple's was built by the Kings of Garhwal about 2 centuries ago. The temple has divided into 3 sections - The Darshan Mandap, Sabha Mandap and Garbhagriha (Sanctum). The Garbhagriha (Sanctum) houses Lord Badri Narayan, Uthavar, Nar, , Kuber (God of wealth), Narad Rishi and Narayan.

Lord Badri Narayan (as well knpwn as Badri Vishal) is armed with Shankh (Conch) and Chakra in 2 arms in a lifted position and 2 arms rested on the lap in Yogamudra. The principal photo is of black stone and it represents Vishnu seated in meditative posture. The temple as well Goddess Mahalaxmi and houses Garuda. As well here are the idols of Swami Desikan, Shri Ramanujan, Adi Shankar is supposed to have its roots here.

Badrinath Attraction:
The pilgrimage centre boasts of 2 natural hot water springs - Surya Kund and Tapt Kund. The sulphurous waters have a temperature of 55 C.
